Local area

Peterchurch, a short walk from Poston Mill Park has two pubs serving food, a licensed Bistro and a well stocked mini supermarket including a Post Office.

The villages scattered around all have traditional pubs and churches, some have ruined castles, all have beautiful scenery.

The bus stops at the entrance to Poston mill and will take you to Hay-on-Wye, town of books, and on to Brecon, a historical Market Town.

In the opposite direction the bus can take you to Hereford, 9 miles, a Cathedral City renowned for the Mappa Mundi and the largest chained library in the world.

Brecon and Hereford have cinemas, shopping and Theatre.

Hereford also offers a leisure centre and the only museum dedicated to Cider in the country.

The surrounding villages and market towns either side of the Welsh border, offer an abundance of history, gardens, golfing, fishing, walking and scenery with breath taking views.

A day at the beach on the South or Mid Wales coast will take you about an hour and a half but with plenty to see along the way it will be an enjoyable day out.

Further activities and links can also be found at Herefordholidays.
